Tom Schimmer is an education author, speaker, and consultant from Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada). He is recognized as a leader and expert in the areas of classroom assessment, sound grading practices, educational leadership, and RTI.

On November 8th, Tom facilitated a great day with more than 800 VSB educators focusing on assessment fundamentals and their implications on the redesigned BC Curriculum. Tom returned February 14, 2020 to continue with a focus on assessing critical and collaborative thinking.  He also addressed social competence and portfolios.
