May 5 marks the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQI+ people (MMIWG2SLGBTQI+). This day serves as a solemn reminder of those who have tragically lost their lives to colonial and gender-based violence, while also acknowledging the enduring grief of their families and communities.
