Hello David Lloyd George Elementary Families and Community

🎶 Cultural Enrichment Performance – Thank You, PAC!

This past Friday, our school was treated to a vibrant and inspiring performance thanks to the support of our Parent Advisory Council (PAC).

Mikhail and A.J. from Ketch Di Vybz brought the energy and spirit of Jamaican and African culture to life through music and dance. Their performance was not only entertaining but also educational, offering our students a meaningful cultural experience.

A heartfelt thank you to PAC Co-Chair Ashley Hansen for organizing this special event, and to all the parents and community members who continue to support our PAC. These enriching opportunities are made possible because of your involvement and generosity.

♻️ DLG’s Flexible Plastics Recycling Success!

We’re proud to share the success of our Flexible Plastics Recycling Program, a partnership between RecycleBC and the Vancouver School Board’s Sustainability Department.

Thank you to everyone who participated by bringing in their flexible plastics, and a special thank you to Ms. Worthington for organizing and leading this important initiative at DLG!

Thanks to your efforts, we collected a whopping 41.5 kg (82 pounds) of flexible plastics—that’s about the weight of a medium-sized dog like a Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, or Border Collie! 🐶

Your contributions not only helped reduce landfill waste, conserve resources, and lower greenhouse gas emissions, but also earned $286.00 for our school.

Let’s keep up the great work for a greener future!

🚗 Reminder for Families Using Drop-Off and Pick-Up by Car

For the safety and smooth operation of our school, we kindly ask that families avoid using the staff parking lots located next to both the new and old school buildings.

These lots are designated specifically for staff and daycare use. When others enter these areas, it can disrupt the important work our staff are doing with your children and create unnecessary congestion.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and efficient environment for everyone!
