The Vancouver School District strives to create an equitable learning environment where every child can experience a deep sense of belonging and is free to pursue pathways of learning in ways that are authentic to themselves. The following initiatives are current priorities for the District:

TECH FOR STUDENTS

Equitable access to technology is vital to allowing all learners to connect with their educators and classmates. Technology not only enables students to stay connected and engaged, it also allows them to develop the digital tools they need to succeed in our technology driven world. Unfortunately, many families do not have the means to purchase the tablets or laptops required to successfully participate in online learning. With your help, more students can learn and benefit from digital tools.

VSB MEAL PROGRAM/FOOD SECURITY

For some students, in addition to being a space where learning to take place, school is the only place they can access to a much-needed meal. VSB meal programs ensure that children receive the nutrition they need to fuel the minds and their bodies. Donations for school meals are critical for ensuring that children have health breakfasts, lunches and snacks during the school day.

Access to coMmunity Programs

Community programs provide essential opportunities for students to grow, learn, and thrive beyond the classroom. These programs offer a range of activities that support social development, physical health, and artistic expression, catering to diverse interests and needs. Unfortunately, not every family can afford the costs associated with participation in these enriching experiences. Your donations can open doors for all students to access valuable community programs, helping them to develop new skills, build confidence, and make lasting connections. Help us ensure that every child has the chance to benefit from the community resources that shape well-rounded, engaged learners
