Hello Parents, Guardians and Friends of DLG

We hope you are enjoying the beautiful fall weather. Thank you for your continued support of our students, staff, and school community.

Please note that this week there will be no school for students on Friday; all BC public schools have a professional development day.  Thank you.

PAC Halloween Movie Night

Our hardworking PAC has been busy planning a Halloween Movie Night for families on October 29th. The date has changed, but the fun will be the same!

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, older school-aged siblings cannot attend as supervising adults.

If you are looking for a fun seasonal event for your family, please consider joining us. More details will be shared soon.

Parent Voice: Reading At Home

We want to hear from you!

Throughout the year, we work on and review our School Plan. Literacy is an important focus area, and we'd like to learn more about your child's reading experiences at home.

Over the coming months, you may see short parent surveys included in our newsletters. Your feedback helps us improve our programs and ensures that family voices are part of our planning.

This week's survey focuses on reading and should take only 2-5 minutes to complete. The survey is completely anonymous, and families with more than one child at DLG are welcome to complete a survey for each child.

Thank you very much for your participation.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle... Halloween Style!

Do you have a gently used Halloween costume that your family no longer needs?

Rather than throwing it away, please consider donating it to our Free Halloween Costume Table, located outside the office. Families looking for a costume are welcome to stop by and see what has been donated.

This is a great way to:

• Save a few dollars
• Help another family
• Reduce waste and support the environment

The Free Halloween Costume Table will be available until October 29th.

Happy Halloween!

Thank You to Our Families

Thank you for taking the time to complete surveys, attend school events, support learning at home, and stay connected with our school. Your partnership makes a real difference in the success of our students.

Have a wonderful week!
