🌟 DLG Weekly Update: February 2 – 6 🌟

David Lloyd George Elementary has just wrapped up the first week of 2026, and what a fantastic start it has been! 🎉
We have welcomed an influx of new students across many divisions, and it has been wonderful to see our more experienced students embracing them with such strong community spirit. Thank you to our families and staff for continuing to teach and model the values of kindness, inclusiveness, and belonging. And to all our new DLG parents — welcome to our community! 💙

🧹 School Grounds Clean-Up

This week, Division 11 will be taking the lead on our grounds clean-up. Keeping our school clean is a shared responsibility, and we appreciate the care our students show for their learning environment.
A big thank you to Division 11 and to the many other students who help out throughout the week! 🌱

💃 All Week: K-Pop Dance Lessons

Students will be enjoying K-Pop dance lessons all week long!
A huge thank you to our PAC for funding this exciting opportunity and for supporting student exposure to this growing and dynamic art form. 🎶✨

🏀 Basketball Schedule (All games at 3:30 pm)

A heartfelt thank you to all the parent and staff volunteers who make it possible for our students to participate in this wonderful team sport.

🎨 Tuesday Highlights

• Division 1 Field Trip: Students will be visiting the Vancouver Art Gallery. Thank you to staff and volunteers for making this enriching experience possible.
• Celebration Choir will be practicing at recess.
• PAC Meeting from 6:00 – 7:30 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend!

📚 Wednesday Updates

• No Learning Buddies this week: The after-school Learning Buddies program will be taking a short break and will resume on February 11.
• Free Kick Soccer: For students who are signed up, the program will run after school on Wednesday. ⚽

🎤 Friday Fun

• School Assembly at 1:30 pm: Join us for a special presentation and performance by our K-Pop dance team. Families are warmly welcome to attend!
• MoreSports: Participating students will enjoy their program after school. 🏃‍♂️
