DLG Weekly Update June 1 - 5
Sports Day — thank you!
What a day! For some of our students, Sports Day ranks among the three best days of the entire year: 1. Birthday 2. Halloween and 3. Sports Day!!
Thank you to every parent who came out to cheer, participate, and bring so much energy to the field. And to those who couldn't attend — your support at home with the right clothing, nutrition, hydration, and encouragement made an enormous difference too.
A huge thank you to our dedicated staff who organized the event, and to our wonderful volunteers and former students who helped run the stations. This single day of fun took weeks of preparation behind the scenes — and it showed.
This week at DLG
This is the final PAC meeting of the school year and everyone is welcome! We'll be voting on the 2026–2027 executive and hearing a recap of the year's highlights.
Also, you are welcome to join the DLG Parents WhatsApp group. This is established by the PAC (not administered by the school). Please see attached flyer.
Join us this Wednesday at 8:15 am for the last Books for Breakfast of the school year. Starting in June, the library enters its inventory and circulation update period — so this is your last chance to enjoy this beloved morning tradition until next fall.
❤️ A heartfelt thank you to Ms. Clements, Ms. Heap, and Ms. Louie for welcoming students week after week throughout the entire school year.
We're already looking ahead to September 2026! This Wednesday, we'll be welcoming our newest DLG students as our incoming kindergarteners visit with their parents for a school orientation. A very warm welcome to our future DLG Hornets!
On Thursday, we'll be celebrating the incredible volunteers who gave so much of their time and energy to our school community this year. Invitations have been sent — we look forward to seeing you in the library!
