Cavell Elementary is undergoing a seismic upgrade of the current facility.  Cavell is located at the Maple Grove swing site and will remain at this temporary accommodation until construction has been completed.  During seismic upgrade, the VSB Project office arranged for Lynch Bus Lines to be the independent service provider for all VSB Seismic busing.  These decisions are not made at the school level.  When we receive a notification from Lynch Bus Lines regarding any changes, we will email busing parents immediately.  Sometimes the notifications come to us as the situation unfolds. 

Please be 5 minutes early at the Cavell Site in the afternoons as traffic fluctuates due to the weather and ride times may differ depending on the day.  Bus travel times can be less than the original twenty minutes suggested by the bus company and VSB Bus Brochure. Travel times can vary between 9-20 minutes.  It is very important that parents are at the Cavell site to receive their children.  

Parents are responsible for supervising their child(ren) at pick up and drop off at the Cavell site since there is no VSB supervision at the Cavell site or on the bus in transit.  Please ensure that you have notified the emergency contacts that they will be called if there is no one to accept your children from the bus service and they may have to pick up your children.
