To register for a school in the Vancouver School District (including this one)

Information specific to this school

We are a full school. This means that we have a waitlist for most grades.

If you apply for the current school year, we may not be able to admit your child right away. Your child will be placed on the waitlist for their grade. While you wait, we will find space at another school in the Vancouver School District, as close as available at the time. If you prefer to have your child stay at the previous school while you wait for space, that is also an option.

If you apply for Kindergarten the next school year during its priority registration period (apply in November to January to attend the next September), your child will be placed in a draw for spaces. If you apply for the next school year (Kindergarten after the priority period or for any other grade), your child will be placed on the waitlist for their grade. You will be contacted in the spring (after Spring Break to June) when capacity is finalized for the following school year.

Our catchment boundaries will change in Fall 2025.

When you apply at https://applynow.vsb.bc.ca/ between now and when the new catchment boundaries are finalized, the system will assign you to the school your address is currently in. If you are in the current catchment shared by Lord Roberts Elementary and New School at Coal Harbour, you will be prompted to choose one of them. However, as the orange paragraph below the choice states, District staff will contact applicants registering for the next school year by email to confirm the catchment school once the decision is made (this will happen before January 31). This means that you can choose the school that you will verify documents at, but your child will be placed on the list for the catchment school according to the decision outcome, if your child is starting school after the decision.
