Janis Myers has been appointed as the new associate superintendent with the Vancouver School Board.

Janis brings more than 25 years of experience in education at VSB, including leadership roles as director of instruction, district principal and elementary principal. She is a visionary and student-centered leader known for her commitment to equity, inclusive practices and high expectations for all learners. Her leadership has spanned mental health and well-being, French immersion, District choice programs, literacy and culturally responsive education.

Janis is recognized for her relational leadership, building strong connections with students, their families and staff. She has led strategic initiatives in mental health, social-emotional learning and community partnerships. Janis has also been instrumental in advancing our student-centred practices across VSB.
