Emergency Medical Responder

The Vancouver School Board partners with the Justice Institute of British Columbia to offer the Emergency Medical Responder program.
Program Details
This program is taught at the JIBC campus in New Westminster. This 5-week program takes place in Semester 2. Following the program, students are required to complete licensing examinations administered by the Ministry of Health and a Work Experience placement coordinated with Career Programs. Tuition is paid by the School District. Students are encouraged to continue on to the Primary Care Paramedic program.
Please note that students must be in grades 10 or 11 to apply for Dual Credit programs.
