The Vancouver School Board (also known as the Vancouver Board of Education) appreciates that you are willing to share your time and expertise in our school system. At Simon Fraser Elementary there are many opportunities for parents and families to volunteer their time in classrooms- please see your child's teacher.

To ensure the safety of all students, we ask that each volunteer review the following Board policies and guidelines (see pdf below) regarding volunteers, as well as the linked document entitled Guidelines for Adults Interacting with Students. These guidelines apply to all employees and volunteers within the Vancouver School District and are intended to help ensure that your volunteer experience with us will be rewarding and successful for all involved.

If you would like to volunteer, you will be asked to complete a Volunteer Conduct Agreement. You may either download it here or ask for a copy at the school office.

Before driving students other their own child, volunteer drivers are required to complete a Volunteer Driver Registration form which is available from the school office. Volunteer drivers need to bring their driving licence and the form to the office once it is completed and the Principal will then sign and return the top sheet.
