Auto Service Technician
The Vancouver School Board partners with Vancouver Community College to offer the SkilledTradesBC Youth TRAIN in Trades Auto Service Technician program.
This program is taught at Britannia Secondary in Semester 2. There are additional classes held at Vancouver Community College (Broadway campus) once you have completed Semester 2.
The School District covers the cost of the post-secondary portion of this program. However, students are responsible for purchasing their own program learning resources and tools.
Please note that students must be in grades 10 or 11 to apply for Youth Train in Trades programs. Grade 12 students may apply for Youth Train in Trades only if they can complete their program before they finish grade 12.
For more details on program dates, students should contact their counsellors, or email email@example.com. Also, additional information can be found on the Vancouver Community College website.
Students will learn how to diagnose and repair all facets of automotive operation: power train, suspension, brakes, electrical, air conditioning and more.
Discover more about this trade on the SkilledTradesBC website.
