This program is taught at Vancouver Community College (VCC) Broadway Campus and runs from September to April (8 and a half months).

Program Details

The Vancouver Community College Health Care Assistant program is designed to provide students with opportunities to develop the knowledge, attitude and skills necessary to function effectively as front-line caregivers in community and facility settings. 

Please note that students must be in grades 10 or 11 to apply for this program. Grade 12 students may apply only if they can complete the program before they finish grade 12.

Course Contents

Students will learn theory, have laboratory practice and clinical experience in the health care field.
