Ms. Rattan and I are looking forward to working with you and your families and supporting you in a variety of different ways. We hope you had a restorative summer and were able to enjoy the sunshine. A special welcome to all our new Fleming families!

Please download the school app to stay up to date with all posts and information. Our primary way of communicating with families is via our school app. If you haven’t already done so, please download the free app, Fleming Elementary, from the App Store or Google Play Store and be certain to accept or turn on push notifications from the school. 

If you are not receiving push notifications you have two choices: a) Go to Settings, scroll down to Apps: Fleming, open, tap on notifications and activate allow notifications or b) Simply delete the app, download it again and accept notifications when it asks you to do so. You can change the language to any language you prefer!

The school is open August 25th to 29th from 8am-3pm should you have any questions or need anything prior to the first day of school. 

School starts on Tuesday September 2nd from 9-10am for Grades 1-7 only. Kindergarten students start their gradual entry schedule on Wednesday September 3rd. School is in session from 9-2:58pm starting on Wednesday September 3rd. Kindergarten's first full day of school will be on Wednesday September 10th. 

You do not need to bring anything on Tuesday for the first hour. Starting Wednesday, please send a snack, lunch, and water bottle with your child.

More information will be provided in the opening newsletter that will be posted here and sent home with each child on their first day of school.

Fleming Leadership Team

Monday September 1

•    Labour Day – no school for staff or students

Tuesday September 2

•    First Day of school Grades 1-7 9-10am return to previous years’ teacher. New students to meet at the front foyer and we will get you settled into a classroom.

Wednesday September 3

•    Gradual entry begins for new Kindergarten students – please refer to schedule sent in June and in August

•    Grade 1-7 are in school from 9-2:58pm – Students will be informed on Tuesday where they should line up for the remainder of the week. An app notification will be sent out on Tuesday to inform families of where students should go the remainder of the week.
