As we get ready for the new school year, we want to let families know that the Vancouver School Board is once again making voluntary student accident insurance plans available for parents to purchase if they wish.

These plans can help protect students and their families by providing coverage for:

• Accidental injury

• Unexpected medical expenses

• Critical illness

They are especially helpful for covering costs not included in provincial health care or employer health and dental plans.

Two providers are offering this coverage:

• Insuremykids

• Industrial Alliance – Family Accident Reimbursement Plan
