In partnership with our King George Community Schools Team (CST) we are pleases to provide the following seasonal afterschool programs to the students of šxʷwəq̓ʷəθət Crosstown Elementary:

Visual Arts – Art Umbrella 

Visual Arts Exploration gives kids the chance to explore and engage with the world of Art & Design! Students will create artworks using a variety of materials that may include charcoal, oil and/or chalk pastel, water colour, and ink to awaken their creativity. Classes may include drawing, painting and mixed media, as time and interests permit. Our goal is that these young artists find confidence and inspiration while having fun and creating together. 

Grades: 1-3 
Date: Mondays, March 2 – June 15^th
(10 sessions) 
Time: 3:05-4:30pm in Room 106 
Cost: FREE 
Note: There are only 15 spots available. 

Fencing with Dynamo  

The program would run for 8 weeks. Each session will have a focus on building focus, coordination and confidence through the sport of fencing. At the completion of the 8 week course, the children would receive a completion certificate signed by the coach and a Canadian Olympic Coach.

Grades 4-7
Dates: Fridays, April 10 – May 29  
(8 sessions)
Time: 3:05-3:50pm in the school’s gym 
Cost: $120 (Subsidy available upon request – contract Vive – vwong@vsb.c.ca
