Mathematics Competitions 2025-2026

The Math Department offers a variety of Math competitions throughout the school year.  This is an outstanding opportunity for Math 8-12 students to further challenge themselves in the field of Mathematics.

Contest Registration:

To register for math contests this year, please follow the steps below.  Registrations will open approximately a month before each contest date.  No late registrations will be accepted.

1. Complete the registration form.
2. After registration for a contest closes, students must pay the associated fees/deposits at https://vsb.schoolcashonline.com/ to complete their registration. (Fees/deposits will not be added to registered students' accounts until shortly AFTER contest registration closes - they cannot be paid before this process is completed).
3. If you do not pay the contest fees/deposits by the specified deadline, you will NOT be registered for the contest.  Late registrations will not be accepted.
   
4. The registrations costs for contests with associated fees are subsidized by the school - the listed fees are the student portion of the total cost of registering for the respective contests.  They are not deposits and will not be returned.
5. For contests that do not list an associated fee (when registration is open), the school will be paying the entire registration fee on behalf of the student.  It is expected that the student will provide a $10 deposit through School Cash Online for these contests.  This deposit will be refunded to you either after completion of the competition, or at the end of the school year (if a student expects to register for multiple contests in 2025-2026).  Return of deposits must be requested by June 15th each year or they will not be returned. 
6. If you fail to show up for the competition, your fees/deposits will be forfeited, and you will be required to pay the FULL registration cost of each future contest you register for.
