Families

We see parents and families as partners in the educational process. Your involvement in the life of the school is encouraged.

There are many opportunities to become involved in your child's educational career. Please check with your child(ren)'s classroom teacher for some of the opportunities to help in the classroom. Watch for announcements from the PAC for opportunities to participate in the school community and school wide activities. We look forward to working alongside you!

Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)

The school has an active PAC which meets approximately once per month, usually during the day. The PAC always welcomes new members to meet informally to discuss any matters related to the school in general. Naturally, PAC meetings are not the venue to discuss issues particular to an individual child, parent or teacher.

Parent Volunteers

Parent volunteers are welcome at University Hill. Some parents volunteer their services assisting with PAC sponsored fund-raisers and special events. Others help in individual classrooms, work in the library or provide translations. There are also opportunities to accompany classes on field trips, drive for sports teams or volunteer coach alongside a teacher. If you have any special talent, are of expertise or connection with an outside agency that you'd like to share, please let us know. Many of our extracurricular events could not run without our parent volunteers!

School Planning Council

The School Planning Council is a group providing the school community with an advisory process to review school programs and initiatives, and to contribute towards and endorse our annual School Plan. Our School Planning Council membership is drawn from our PAC or other interested parents and is chaired by the Principal.
