Important dates for the 2026-2027 school year:
- Friday, September 4th, 2026 - by 3:00pm, schedules will be available on students' MyEducation BC accounts. Instructions for accessing accounts will be shared in the September Van Tech Family Bulletin
- Tuesday, September 8th, 2026 - Grade Assemblies. Grade 8s will meet at 1pm in the Auditorium. Students will receive their schedule, agenda books, locks and locker. These activities take approximately 60-90 minutes
- Wednesday, September 9th, 2026 - First Full Day of Classes. All students report to Period 1 at 8:40am.
Van Tech will host an in-person Family Information Night for the incoming Grade 8s in May 7th, 2026 from 6:00-7:00pm.
Grade 8 Registration Information for the 2026-2027 school year :
Catchment students will receive their enrolment packages from their Grade 7 teacher. Parents and Caregivers, please return all required forms to the Grade 7 by the deadline set by the elementary school. Schools will complete and send the student packages to Vancouver Technical Secondary no later than February 13, 2026 - 3:30 PM.

2. May 7th, 2026 6:00 - 7:00 PM, Family Info Night for current Grade 7 students who will attend Van Tech in 2026-2027 and their families, in the Van Tech Auditorium.
3. September 2, 2026 (Times TBA) - Optional Grade 8 Orientation Event
For Cross Boundary applications, please see the registration process on the Vancouver School Board website here. Registration opens from Feb 3rd and closes Feb 28th.
For students who are not in our catchment (example: from another District or from a Private School) please download and complete the registration forms and then submit them electronically via email to our Records Clerk, Wendy Glennie (wglennie@vsb.bc.ca).
