Are you in the Churchill Catchment?

Please check your home address in the school locator link to verify that your address falls in the Churchill Catchment for both regular and French Immersions programs. School Locator

GR. 7 STUDENTS CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE CHURCHILL CATCHMENT (FROM VSB SCHOOL)

Students who reside in the Churchill catchment and attend a VSB elementary school will be given the application form from their elementary school in January. Please submit the completed registration form, along with required documents, to your elementary school office by Tuesday, February 13, 2024.


GR. 7 STUDENTS CURRENTLY RESIDING IN THE CHURCHILL CATCHMENT (FROM NON-VSB SCHOOL)

For grade 7 students who attend a Non-VSB school and reside in the Churchill catchment, registration form is below.  Please follow the application steps below:

Step 1:  Complete the online application

Step 2:  Prepare required documents:

Step 3: Submit all documents in-person to the Churchill Main Office.

Documents to submit:

1.  VSB Student Application Form from the "Apply Now" registration

2.  Course Selection Form

3.  Copy of Child's Canadian Birth Certificate

4.  Copy of Parents' ID

5.  Copies of proof of address (3 documents as indicated above)

Mini School application period deadline for 2024-2025 school year is Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023.


Students Returning to Churchill (attending VLN)

If you are still living in the Churchill catchment, your child previously attended Churchill and is currently registered at VLN, please follow the application steps:

Step 1:  Prepare required documents:

          CHILD'S GOVT ISSUED CANADIAN IMMIGRATION / VISA DOCUMENT (copy)

  • ID of BOTH PARENTS (Driver License, Cdn Passport/VISA, Permanent Residence Card)
  • PROOF OF ADDRESS:    Proof%20of%20Residency.jpg
  • COPY OF CURRENT GRADE REPORT CARD

Step 2: Scan and email all paperwork to Sengpat Sengsavanh (ssengsavanh@vsb.bc.ca)


IN-CATCHMENT APPLICATIONS (Gr 9-12 STUDENTS CURRENTLY at ANOTHER VSB SCHOOL)

or 

IN-CATCHMENT FRENCH IMMERSION APPLICATIONS (Gr 9-12 STUDENTS CURRENTLY at ANOTHER VSB SCHOOL)

If you are living in the Churchill catchment and your child already attends another VSB school, please follow the application steps:

Step 1:  Complete Transfer Form from your current school.

Step 2:  Submit Transfer Form to your new school.

Step 3: Prepare required documents:

          CHILD'S GOVT ISSUED CANADIAN IMMIGRATION / VISA DOCUMENT (copy)

  • ID of BOTH PARENTS (Driver License, Cdn Passport/VISA, Permanent Residence Card)

  • COPY OF CURRENT GRADE REPORT CARD

Step 3:  Scan and email all paperwork to Sengpat Sengsavanh (ssengsavanh@vsb.bc.ca).


IN-CATCHMENT APPLICATIONS (Gr 9-12 students who born in Canada and attended a NON-VSB school in Canada)

Registration is a TWO STEP process. 

Step 1:  Complete the online application

Step 2:  Prepare required documents:

Step 3: Submit all documents in-person to the Churchill Main Office.

Documents to submit:

1.  VSB Student Application Form from the "Apply Now" registration

2.  Course Selection Form

3.  Copy of Child's Canadian Birth Certificate

4.  Copy of Parents' ID

5.  Copies of proof of address (3 documents as indicated above)


IN-CATCHMENT APPLICATIONS (for students NOT BORN IN CANADA or students BORN in Canada but HAVE NOT attended a Canadian school)

Students must register at the Newcomer Welcome Centre.  For more information, click here NWC.

    

Cross-Boundary Applications 

Late Cross-Boundary Application Form deadline is June 14, 2024.  Submit the application in person to the main office by June 14.
