GRADUATION CEREMONY - Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts at UBC at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, June 4. The Graduates must arrive by 3:00 pm. The doors will open for guests (to be seated) at 3:30 pm and the Ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 pm. 


GRADUATION CEREMONY TICKETS

** Please note: the NEW online process for 2025 and the change of ticket sale dates 

To ensure that tickets are distributed to all families evenly, they will be available in Rounds 1 to 3 from the Chan Centre Box Office. Please see the following Ticket Booking Rounds: 

Ticketing Round 1: Opens -Tuesday, May 6 (at 12:00pm) Closes – Wednesday, May 21 (at 11:59pm)  

  • Online booking for a maximum of 2 complimentary guest tickets and a maximum of 1 additional paid ticket can be purchased in this round. Complimentary Tickets MUST be booked during this round.  (Promo Code is required)
  • Book all of your tickets for this round in one order.
  • No first round tickets are available after May 21st. There will be no exceptions for those who miss this reservation window
  • Any unclaimed tickets from the first round are transferred to the extra ticket inventory and distributed in the Extra Ticket round 
  • Please note: this round is NOT first-come, first-served - you do not need to book right at Noon on May 6th.  However, be sure to book well before the May 21st deadline. 

Ticketing Round 2:   Opens – Thursday, May 22 (at 12:00pm) Closes – Tuesday, June 2 (at 11:59pm)  

  • for a maximum of 2 additional paid tickets
  • Complimentary tickets are no longer available in round 2
  • No Promo code is required
  • These tickets are first-come, first-served, until available seats are all booked. 

Ticketing Round 3: Opens – Tuesday, June 3 (12:00pm) 

  • For any unclaimed tickets from the previous rounds will become available (no promo code required and no limits) 
  • No Promo code is required
  • These tickets are first-come, first-served basis

The link to the Chan Centre’s Ticketing Page (with the instructions and Promo Code) will be emailed to the Grade 12 families on Monday, May 5th


GRADUATION GOWN DISTRIBUTION - all students participating in the UHill Graduation Ceremony must wear a gown, grad cap/tassel and a sash. Gowns are ordered by height measurement and the cost of these grad items are included in the Graduation Fees. The graduation packages will be distributed after the Grade 12 Assembly/Grad Rehearsal on Thursday, May 29 and students will be keeping their gown, sash and caps as keepsakes of their graduation ceremony. 


GRADUATION CEMONY MESSAGE (CITATION) Each Graduate is responsible for drafting a SHORT message that will be read as they cross the stage. Some examples of what you may want to include are: 

  • What you will fondly remember 
  • Your future plans 
  • Regards to people you may wish to thank
  • A reflective statement

Reminder - these are now due, and the final deadline is Sunday, May 5 at midnight. 

GRADUATION ASSEMBLY and REHEARSALS - The Grade 12 Assembly will be on Thursday, May 29 Period 3 (at 12:20 pm) in the LLC. Students MUST attend this very important assembly as the counsellors will be reviewing the Ministry of Education Transcript Verification Reports with students and we will be confirming names and other details to ensure our rehearsal at the Chan Centre on Wednesday, June 4 runs smoothly. Graduation Rehearsal will be on Wednesday, June 4 at 8:45 am at the Chan Centre - Students MUST attend the rehearsal and arrive on time at 8:30 am if they wish to cross the stage and will be excused from their first period as attendance is mandatory! Please note that students are not required to wear their graduation items to the rehearsal. 

GRADUATION DINNER / DANCE - The Dinner/Dance will be held at the Pan Pacific Hotel on Friday, June 13th at 6:00 pm.  The Dinner / Dance fee is $150 and is payable on School Cash on-line. 


OTHER REMINDERS 

 Graduation Capstone projects and interviews are to be completed, as this course is a graduation requirement. Capstone interviews will be presented on Thursday, May 22 during FIT and Period 4. The schedule will be posted for students by Mid-May. A reminder that the Capstone Technical Practice will be on Tuesday, May 20 during FIT. • Graduation Packages (Diploma and Grad Ceremony Complimentary Photo): Ministry of Education Dogwood Diploma (if graduation requirements have been met) and Graduation Ceremony photo(s) will be available for pick up from the School Office at the end of August. Pick up dates/times will be August 25 to 29 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. 

Updated contact information: If you have recently moved or will be moving at the end of the school year, please remember to inform the office. This will ensure that we have up to date information if we need to reach you after June 30, 2025.
