Mr. Tam Is Retiring!
Dear Graham Bruce Families,
With only one short four-day week left in the school year, we can feel the excitement and summer spirit throughout the school. Teachers are wrapping up their programs and assessments, and many year-end events are planned. These include the Grade 7 Moving Forward Ceremony on June 23, year-end field trips on June 24, and our year-end assembly on June 25. Students will receive their Summary of Learning on June 24, which highlights their performance throughout the year, showcasing their strengths, areas for growth, and ways to support their continued learning. Teachers have also provided many valuable recommendations to help maintain learning over the summer.
I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Vincent Tam on his retirement after 31 years in education. We are very happy for him as he embarks on this new chapter, and we know he will be dearly missed in our community.

Mr. Vincent Tam Is Retiring!
Mr. Tam began his teaching career with the Vancouver School Board in 1995. After a few years working as a Teacher on Call, he found a home at Nootka Elementary School, where he taught Grades 4 through 7 for nineteen wonderful years. He then joined the Graham Bruce community in 2017, where he enjoyed nine great years. Mr. Tam is deeply grateful for the many supportive and talented educators with whom he has had the opportunity to work and learn. He is especially thankful for the lasting friendships he has built along the way. Most of all, it has been an honour and a privilege to work with so many incredible students over the years. It is the students who make teaching such a rewarding career. While he looks forward to retirement, he will miss the people who have made the past 30+ years so meaningful and memorable.

If your family is planning to move and will not be returning to Graham Bruce in September 2026, please inform the school office. This information helps us plan class size and composition for the upcoming school year and ensures a smooth transition for all students.

Please inform the office if your contact information, home address, phone number, or emergency contact details change. It is essential for the school to have accurate information when we share updates or need to reach you during an emergency.
Please Visit Our Lost & Found!
All lost clothing items have been neatly folded on the bench in front of the office, and other items are hanging on rolling racks near the entrance. Please take a moment to check for any belongings your child may have misplaced. Any items remaining after 3:00 p.m. on June 25 will be donated to charity.
