Principal’s Year-End Message (2025–2026 School Year)

K

In Kindergarten, I’m learning to use my phonics to write! Can you read my message to my teacher?

Dear Graham Bruce Students, Staff, and Families,

As we come to the close of the 2025–2026 school year, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to our entire school community.

To our students—thank you for bringing energy, curiosity, and joy to our school each day. Your growth, resilience, and kindness continue to inspire us all.

To our teachers and support staff—thank you for your unwavering commitment, care, and professionalism. The dedication you demonstrate each day makes a lasting difference in the lives of our students and families.

To our parents and caregivers—we are truly grateful for your partnership, trust, and ongoing support. Together, we create a strong and caring learning community.

I would like to extend sincere thanks to our Executive PAC—JL Luna, Anjula Joshi, Vince Sharma, and Suresh Yenuga—for your leadership, dedication, and countless hours of service. Your support has made a meaningful impact on our school community. A special thank you to Vince Sharma, who will be leaving our school community. Your contributions have been greatly valued, and you will be missed. We wish you all the very best in your next chapter.

I would also like to thank our district staff and outside agencies for their ongoing collaboration and support. Your work strengthens our school and enriches the services we provide.

We extend our best wishes to our retiree, Mr. Tam, and express heartfelt gratitude for his many years of dedicated service.

Thank you as well to Ms. Pavao, who has been working with Division 9 since January. We are grateful for her contributions and wish her all the best in her future role.

A special acknowledgment to our Grade 7 students and families—as you move on to secondary school, we wish you every success and happiness in this next chapter. You will always be an important part of our school community.

To our new Kindergarten families joining us in September, welcome! We look forward to meeting you and beginning this exciting journey together.

To those transitioning to new schools, we wish you continued success and happiness in your new communities.

Welcome to all newly registered students and families—we look forward to your participation in our school community.

A Personal Note

As many of you know, this is my final year as principal, as I will be retiring at the end of June. It has been an absolute privilege to serve this community. I am deeply grateful for the relationships, support, and shared commitment to student success that we have built together.

Effective August 1, 2026, a new principal, Mr. Ian Judson will officially assume the role. I am confident that the school will continue to thrive under new leadership.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of this incredible journey.
