Choir

The choir program is under the direction of Lisa Lan-Ledingham.   

Born in Taiwan, Lisa Lan-Ledingham obtained her double major degrees from The University of Western Ontario in Music and Visual Arts in four years (2002-2006). She went on to complete her Education degree (2006-2007) and Masters degree (2013) at the University of British Columbia while establishing the choral program full time at Lord Byng. During her undergraduate degree in piano studies, Lisa was the student of the Ronald Turini, who was a student of the famous Vladimir Horowitz. In 2007, Lisa was awarded the Nancy Memorial Scholarship at UBC for outstanding music student teacher of the year.

Lisa arrived at Lord Byng in 2009. By 2011, she had established the choral program at Lord Byng into an award-winning program. In 2010, Lisa successfully integrated the choral program at Lord Byng into the Byng Arts family, and led the choir to Seattle Heritage Festival to winning Gold, the Maestro Award, and an invitation to sing at the Carnegie Hall in New York. In the spring 2013, Lisa organized the Honours Chamber Choir to tour through Paris and Belgium, and went on to winning Gold at the Sun Peaks Festival in 2014.
