LORD BYNG SECONDARY LIBRARY

Come and read from a great collection of books and resources.   

Lord Byng Library is open during school hours, Monday through Friday. It is open during recess and lunch periods as well. To extend the resource-based learning component of their courses, teachers may book their classes into the library and/or the adjoining computer lab. Students are encouraged, on their own  time or with their teacher’s permissions, to use the facilities in the library to work quietly on assignments or research activities.

How to Access Databases at the VSB

To access the VSB DATABASES that are available to all students in the district please follow these steps:

1. Log onto https://library.vsb.bc.ca
2. Locate Lord Byng Secondary on the right side under Secondary Schools. Click on the school.
3. Once on Lord Byng Secondary School go to top right corner to LOG IN.
4. Log in using your VSB Username and Password.
4. When logged on you will be on the HOME page which has all the DATABASES.
5. Good luck researching!

NOTE: some DATABASES (ie: Worldbook) require another log-in:
                                                                                                  User ID: 39by  
                                                                                                  Password: library

PASSWORD PROBLEMS?

Visit the VSB's self serve STUDENT PASSWORD RESET PORTAL to reset you password. 
You will need your PEN number (found in your MyED account, under Student Details) and Date of Birth.
Once they enter the information, they can choose to enter their own new password or have the system generate a new one for them.  Passwords must meet certain criteria, click on the Find Out More for guidelines.
