Learning Hub
The Learning Hub is a space for any Templeton student who needs extra time or support to succeed. It’s designed to help students:
- Catch up on coursework
- Write assessments
- Complete assignments
- Receive additional support from the resource team and student support assistants (SSAs)
This space is open to all Templeton students and provides a quiet, supportive environment for focused work. Students can be referred by their teachers or make arrangements with their teachers to work in the Learning Hub.
Learning Hub Schedule:
- Before school: 8:15am - 8:40am
- Throughout the school day
- After school: 3:05pm - 3:30pm
- Wednesdays at lunch
- All FIT periods
Resource Teachers:
Our resource teachers are based in the Learning Hub and provide academic support to all students at Templeton. They also work closely with designated students by creating and managing IEPs, collaborating with classroom teachers, and offering individualized strategies to help students succeed throughout their school journey. Student-Support Assistants (SSAs):
Our SSAs provide student and classroom support by building relationships with and supporting students personally and academically. SSAs help to respond to the needs of our many different classrooms, and collaborate with resource teachers, counsellors, and teachers, in monitoring student progress and development. Our Templeton SSAs are:
