David Thompson’s newly formed Theatre Company will be presenting their first production from February 28th-March 3rd – “Game of Tiaras” by Don Zolidis!

An incredible team of students (led by Ms. Shields and Mr. Pretty) have collaborated to create the production from the ground up including building Set and Props, designing Costumes and Makeup looks, promoting the show through Poster Design and a Social Media Campaign, organizing the “behind the scenes” action as Assistant Directors, Stage Managers and Backstage Crew, operating the Lights and Sound as part of the Tech Crew, and performing onstage as the Cast. We are so thrilled with the students’ work and are looking forward to sharing it with our school community.

What’s the show about? - When the aging king of a Magical Kingdom (England) decides to split his empire between his three daughters, Cinderella, Belle, and the Snow Queen (who in no way resembles a copyrighted character), terrible tragedy ensues. Terrible, hilarious tragedy. Combining the gut-wrenching plot twists of Game of Thrones and the soul-numbing despair of Shakespearean tragedy, this Disney-themed comedic-adaptation of King Lear will leave you dying with laughter as the body count mounts. When you play the “Game of Tiaras,” you win or you die!

The show will run for 4 evening performances in our school Auditorium.

Tickets are on sale now – $5 for Students and $10 for Adults. Tickets are available through our lunchtime ticket sales and will also be available for purchase at the door. We hope you will join us in supporting the performing arts here at David Thompson!
