City approves rezoning to advance new Olympic Village school
VANCOUVER – Vancouver School Board welcomes City Council’s decision to approve the rezoning application for the new school in Olympic Village which is a critical step toward delivering a much-needed school for families in this area.
The rezoning approval allows the project to proceed with a design that works within the site’s urban constraints, including increasing the height to enable sufficient space to meet enrolment demand. This school will now be able to meet modern educational, safety and accessibility requirements.
As the project advances, VSB will continue with ongoing communication and outreach as the school moves through detailed design, construction and opening. To keep updated about the project’s progress, subscribe here.
