On June 25, 2018, the Board directed staff to conduct a detailed review of current policies governing catchment adjustments and registration/enrolment to identify possible revisions to current policies taking into consideration feedback received through the catchment review consultation. As a result, updates were made to AP 305.

The Vancouver School District has placed a hold on its review of proposed changes to some elementary school attendance area boundaries - the geographic areas that determine how students are assigned to each school. The school district determines these attendance areas so that the student population is balanced with the classroom capacity of each school.
