Imagining Future Careers: Students Experience AI Innovation at Microsoft

students discussing project

On January 29, students from across VSB attended the Ethos Lab Ubuntu AI Sprint program located at Microsoft Vancouver Campus. Students toured the Vancouver office and imagined what it would be like to turn their interests into a career.

“It would be so cool to work for Microsoft!” Says Brandon from John Oliver Secondary.

After the tour, students got together in groups and used AI to create a prototype design that could solve an existing problem in their school. The collaborative learning event will also prepare students for the Ethos Lab Blackathon, taking place on Friday, February 27 at Microsoft's Vancouver Campus.

The full-day event will be a massive design jam competition. This year’s theme will focus on Applied Artificial Intelligence.

Check out a recap of the day below!
