Question period

Two questions were submitted by members of the public and addressed by the chair. One question related to Britannia Secondary’s hockey academy that cannot run next school year. While course offerings are operational, the chair noted that the unfortunate situation was due to low student interest and enrolment. She shared hopes that the course would return in the future. The other question submitted inquired about changes in staffing levels, specifically, that of resource teachers. The chair explained that enrolment, which is declining, drives staffing decisions in alignment with collective agreements.
