Livingstone Elementary School

The seismic upgrade at Livingstone Elementary is now complete. The school, which was first built in 1913, was deemed to be of high risk of damage in a major earthquake. With the seismic upgrades, the structure of the building was fully reinforced.

Even with the updates, much of the original character of the building was maintained including the exterior façade and some interior moulding. The school also received fresh paint, new flooring, new lighting and many new finishings. The upgraded building also has many more accessible features including washrooms, ramps and an elevator.

Watch a tour of the new school below led by Livingstone Elementary principal, Sharon Vieira and students.
