Elementary school (kindergarten to Grade 7) is an exciting time of exploration, growth and discovery where students build a strong foundation of learning.

Regular Program

All our elementary schools teach according to  BC's Curriculum, with a focus on core competencies. To learn more about registering for regular elementary programs, visit Kindergarten Registration or Registration for Grades 1 and above.

District Choice Programs

VSB is proud to offer a wide range of educational options for different types of learners. Our Choice programs include French Immersion, Mandarin Bilingual, Indigenous Focus, Montessori and Fine Arts. Registration Details

1. Before applying for District Choice programs students must first register at their neighbourhood school.
2. Kindergarten Application to District Choice program information occurs online. Click here to learn more about Kindergarten Choice application.

Applying to District Choice Programs in Grades 1 to 7 currently requires a paper form submission. Download the Choice Program Application Form here. 

District Choice Program enrolment is based on space in each program.
