This school year Van Tech students won big when it came to Duke of Edinburgh's Awards. The school's students won 36 Bronze awards, 16 Silver Awards and 21 Gold Awards for all their work in the community.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award are based on providing students with an opportunity to gain recognition for self-directed community building, physical fitness, service and skills development. Van Tech hosts one of the largest Duke of Edinburgh's Award Clubs in the Vancouver School District.
