Lord Byng Secondary will be hosting a screening of "Girl Rising" for parents and students on Wednesday, January 22 at 6:00pm.

All proceeds from the evening will benefit the Vancouver Chapter of Room to Read, a global non-profit organization seeking to transform the lives of millions of children in the developing world by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.
The film is rated PG-13.
