This year the Magee Chamber Choir got an opportunity to perform at the Dalai-Lama Centre Heart Mind Conference. Following the conference, Magee music educator and the choral artistic director of the school, Greg Quan spoke to the audience about how his 14 to 18 year old singers were able to achieve the powerful sound showcased during their performance.

"We don't just sing together, we care for each other," says Quan. "We respect each other. We listen to each other and we respond accordingly. By making this a choir family, we begin to think not only of ourselves, but for each other and as we create stronger and stronger bonds, we work harder each and every day, because we don't want to let down any of our family members."
